Overview
The Business Design Session begins with a dialogue on business designs impact across an organization. How might we advance our design craft to extend into creating design-led organizations that see design as a systems-based mentality? Session attendees will build a conceptual a unique business model by applying HCD methods and techniques within a mock scenario.

Structure
This is an instructor-led session held live over a remote Zoom call. (You will receive a Zoom link with your enrollment email). Each session is intended to foster a hands-on learning environment to engage in dialogue, practice the session material, and implement the learning into your design workflow.

Session Lead
Tyler Hartrich
Tyler is a product designer with a mission to create delightful digital experiences that deeply impact people’s lives. With an academic background in urban design, ecological systems design, and an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise, he approaches design problems with a human-centered methodology, focusing on building empathy throughout the design process.
He has worked with organizations spanning solar technology, electric bicycles, organization design, farm-to-fork food systems and climate impact analysis for local governments. Tyler is a current UXDI Immersive instructor at General Assembly in New York City.
